Don't be misled by the "English" sounding names. Many of the early settlers of Columbia County, N.Y. were of Dutch or German origins. Moon's were Palatines from the Rhine area of Germany and came to USA in the 1700's. Margaret Moon married John P. Shnider and had the children listed earlier. If you do connect our families please let me know. I have been trying to get info on the Shnider family for years without any success.
