My great-grandfather, Floyd Edward Buckler (1895-1980) married Lina Marie Schneider of South Cortland, New York, who went by "Marie."
Family rumor has it that Lina may have been born illegitimate, but her father was assuredly George F. Schneider. George's date of birth is unknown, but he died after 1938 in Ithaca, New York, likely his home. George's wife was Lina L., last name unknown, born 1873, died 24 Jun 1938 in Dryden, New York.
George F. Schneider's mother was Phoebe A. Van Pelt, born 1843 and died 1 Feb 1933 in South Cortland, New York, buried in Cortland Rural Cemetery. Phoebe had at least one additional son, as her obituary lists four nieces of varying last names.
I have VERY little information beyond what I have listed here, and am interested in any information, confirmed or unconfirmed, that could at least provide a lead or two. Little is known of this line despite my grandfather, Roger Floyd Buckler, still being alive. Rarely has he spoken of them.
