Dear Michelle,
This is a long shot but I have been looking for a my gg grandfather George Schneider born in Rheinland Bavaria around 1823. He moved to St Louis Mossouri and began the Staat-Zeitung ( a German newspaper) around 1853? . He was very policaly involved, ran some finacial insitutions and was, I believe, director of The World Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The names don't match up I know, but I have been searching for months and was wondering if any of this sounded familar. He had a daughter(My ggrandmother) Lucia Schneider Bumiller Koch. His other daugther married a Koch also. He nick name was Baby. Please let me know if any of this sounds familar. Good luck with your search.
