Hi,
I have a Paul Schneider that immigrated to Louisville, Ky in 1861. I can not confirm his birth place yet. Although I have a copy of where he is from it is unintelligible. It looks very close to his wife's place of origin which was Oberotterbach. His wife is Rosina Westermann. Oberotterbach was just a very short distance north of Kaiserslaughtern.
Most of my family of Westermann's come from Oberotterbach as do many other families in the St. John's records. My Westermann's immigrated in the early 1840's and again in 1859 (which is my direct line).

My posting needs to be updated because of the recent research I have been doing but the dates of Paul and Rosina are accurate.
St. Johns Church records of Louisville have many different families of Schneiders. I will keep my eye out for yours also.
