You should be aware of a website called jewishgen.org . On it I found out that the Schnitzer name (in my family tree at least) was spelled Zausznicjer! My Great-grandmother, Sara Braena Zausznicjer was married to my great-grandfater in Serock, Poland in 1875 (she was obviously not born in 1800 - this was a misprint.)

Zausznicjer families were in Chorzele, Nasielsk, Miasto and Przasnysz, Poland. Chorzele isn't too far from Serock so I'm assuming that I'm not the right track there.

That's as far as I've gotten.
