Schröder, Schröeder, Mahany, Mahaney, VA/MD/PA
Fellow Researchers, I am seeking your help.
Susanna (Schröder), Schröeder, married a Mahany, Mahaney, from VA, her fathers name was Heinrich “Henry” Schröder, and he came from Germany.
Pronunciations changed, and spelling variations in this country…Shrader, Schrader, Schroeder, Schraeder could possibly be the same name.
Susanna was supposedly born in 1779-1780 in Boonesboro (Boonsboro), KY.I do not know if this refers to town or county.Birth in KY is questionable. However, her death was in PA.
There has never been a Boonesboro, Boonsboro (Town or Co.) KY, aside from Fort Boonesborough, Madison Co., KY, but Madison Co. wasn't created until 1786.Madison Co., KY was created from Lincoln Co., KY while still a part of Kentucky County Virginia, in 1780
If you know of these people or they are in your family-tree, do you have information on this family you would be willing to share?
Any assistance you may be in a position to offer would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
