Thomas Lester Schubert, 70, of Richmond, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Beverly Golden Rule after a short illness.
He was born April 28, 1937, in Roan County, Tenn., to Herbert and Dollie Carter Schubert and lived here most of his life.
Lester formerly worked at Richmond Laundry and Dry Cleaners and was self-employed in lawn maintenance. He was a member of the First Southern Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Johnnie Faye Schubert; two daughters, Sarah and husband Jim Johnson of Bloomfield and Anna and husband Mike Shaw of Muncie, four grandchildren, Jason and wife Yvette McCarter, Jesse Lemoine, Doug Carter, and Stacy Lemoine, three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney and Taylor. Also surviving is his mother, Dollie Schubert of Richmond IN.; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Conklin of Indianapolis, and Joyce Croslow of Richmond; nieces and nephews; aunts, uncle, and cousins.
His father and one sister, Louise Brown are deceased.
Graveside services with burial will be 2 p.m. Monday July 30, 2007, at Willow Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Leffel officiating. Friends may call 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Email condolences may be sent to email@example.com
