Toni: my great grandfather was Isadore Schuck
he was said to have been from Bavaria although I am not poitive about this. He came to America as a 24 year old. He came across on the ship "Atlantic" from Bremerhaven & Southampton and arrived in New York on April 9, 1866.There was also a 36 year old Jacob Schuck on board who gave his occupation as "farmer" I don't know if there was any relationship there.

Isadore settled in Pittsburgh, Pa worked in a steel mill and later had a grocery store in the suburb of Millvale, Pa.

He married Caroline Loeffler a daughter of Anton Loeffler. He died May 1934. His daughter Clara was my grandmother. Clara married Charles Kress. Clara died at age 29 in 1909.
