Hi! I am Mario Feranil, formerly from Davao City, Philippines; now in Manila.

I am putting together a family tree for the Feranils (http://members.tripod.com/mferanil). I have an auntie named Martha Schuck (known to us as Auntie Lily) who is married to my fatherís brother, Emilio Feranil. She is now deceased but her descendants and I would like to trace back her roots. She is half German and half Tausog and originally hailed from Jolo. I really would appreciate getting info from you regarding her ancestry (if you have any). I really have little additional info on this except that a lady from Jolo (with one arm amputated) visited us in the Ď50s-60s. I think that lady is her mom.

BTW, I understand from a judge-friend that there is a book about early Germans in the Philippines. He informed me that my auntís name is listed in that book. Unfortunately, I have difficulty locating that book here in Manila.

Thanks and best regards,

Mario
