Hello Dee,

I agree with Peter that it would be best to ask for more information in Meisenheim.
My fiance and I have just started searching his family line. The last one we know about is a Karl Schuck who was born on 16 November 1850 in Medard. His birth and/or baptizing (that's not so claer) was registered in Meisenheim. We will also try to get some more information there. Concerning the fact that Medard was a small village it is even possible that "our" Schuck and yours were maybe relatives. Do you know anything about brothers or nephews (not in America) of your ancestor?

Many Thanks and good luck for your research!

Miriam
