This is all very interesting. I was looking at that census entry to connect it with my family history. I have a Johann Wilhelm Schisler and a Heinrich Michael buried in my family. Do you know who the parents are for Johann Michael Schuessler. I know my Schisler relatives came as Schuessler and changed after arrival. But a couple of the brothers may not have. They all lived around each other for a while on a road that came to be named Schuessler and still is today. My Schuessler folks eventually landed in the St. Louis, Mo area. Give me some more info and maybe there is a connection.
