We believe our name was spelled Schuessler or maybe Schussler with an umlout (sp?) over the u. His name was Mike (MJ) Schussler b. circa 1815 Germany, wife unknown, and had a son by the name of John Michael b. 1840 in Germany m. Anne Marsh, and had the son John Joseph in NY. We were told the name was changed in Germany or Switzerland before John Michael came over. We were also told that our family lived in a town on the border of Germany and, Switzerland and that there were 8 sons. No mention of daughters. Would you know anything about this family? I think this is what was passed down by John Joseph to his family from his father. This is about as far as we have been able to get. The name has been Shesler since before they came here as far as we know. Thank you for any help if there is any, Dianne
