Dear "almost cousin" Gary, :)

almost all the important information I've got from Karlsruhe
in Beresan has been pased to me by Alvina Ballinger
( aball@tscnet.com ). She is coordinator of the Karlsruhe
Village and a Schuller descendant herself. She is a lovely
person who will certainly be a better source of information
than I am.

Meanwhile you can give a look to the summary I have made
with information of the Schuller family in that village at:
http://www.geocities.com/jcaugusto_ar/karltree.htm

Altough it seems to be a fairly complete account of the
family in that colony, I must warn you sometimes I came
across of isolated information on individuals who lived
there. I listed some of them at the bottom of the above
mentioned page but you may find others.

In http://www.geocities.com/jcaugusto_ar/ucrania.htm
you could see highlighted in a map the location of the
colony in Russia.

There is a newspaper about villages in the Beresan district:

http://www.beresan.com/BDOnews.html

but certainly the number you would be very happy to see
is the following one:

http://pixel.cs.vt.edu/library/newsletters/beresan/link/bdo13.pdf

It has photos from Karlsruhe, so you are watching the
streets your ancestors walked by (!) :)

In page 19 of that issue you will find further sources of
information listed.

Hope you find the information !!!

With kind regards
Juan
