Hi Marge,

My great-grandfather, Nicolaus Schuler, was born in Sackelhausen, just outside of Timisoara, in 1879 or 1880. He left no other clues as to his history. I do not know his siblings or parents. Perhaps, just perhaps, he was related to your family, if not, indeed, the same as you mentioned (brother of Margaret).

My Nicolaus (there were various spellings) came to the US in 1904, to Philadelphia. Family legend has it that his father died soon after he "ran away" from home. He married Josephine Rausch (from Sanktandreas, another village just outside of Timisoara) in 1905 in Philadelphia.

So, let me know if our Nicks are a match.
