Reinhart -- thanks for posting the 1880 census info. I was aware of it. In fact the eldest girl listed as Barbara, is really Kathrina (aka Katie) -- mom and dad Schuller disgreed on the name, mom won out, but dad insisted in calling her Barbara. Not sure if that suggests the name Barbara figures into his family? Kathrina's (Catherine)grand daughter also does research, Lena is my grandmother, so we know those two branches pretty well.

Besides the European information, one other thing we are looking for is the date of marriage between John and Elizabeth (Elise, Lizzie) Hasenzahl. The data suggests 1874-76 and probably Brooklyn, but so far we haven't been able to find the info. If you have some sources we don't know about that would be helpful.
