Jerome "Jerry" Schuller Sr.

Jerome Albert "Jerry" Schuller, Sr. died at Memorial Hermann Hospital on November 29, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born November 9, 1922 in Menasha, Wisconsin, the second child of Frances and John Schuller. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Anthony "Tony" Schuller, and his youngest sister, Veronica "Ronnie" Crooks.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Brent Schuller, and his five children Susan (Leo Paige), Jerome Jr., Michael (Laurie), William (Kathleen), and Sarah (Bobby Lindquist), his younger sisters, Theresa Holinbeck and Betty Weinstein, as well as 11 grandchildren: Jeff, Brent, and David Paige (Erica); Amanda, Jennifer, Eric, Amelia, Zachary and Chelsey Schuller (Eric Lott) and Ty and Chris Lindquist.
Jerry served as a sonarman in the U.S. Navy during World War II, escorting Allied convoys along the East Coast. He went to college on the GI Bill, graduating with degrees in Geology and Physics from Lawrence College. He worked for Western Geophysical from 1950-1985, searching for oil and gas across the United States, in the Gulf of Mexico, and in North Africa. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid bowler who enjoyed golf, and volunteered at End Hunger.
