Jennie Schuller
Jennie Schuller, 83, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008.
Jennie was born in Hanford on Nov. 15, 1924 to John and Jennie Vanden Heuvel. She grew up in the Hanford countryside and attended Hanford schools. On Jan. 30, 1943, she married Fred Schuller. They spent two years in New Mexico while Fred was in the service before returning to Hanford to raise their boys. Jennie spent over 30 years in a nursing career in the local hospitals.
Jennie was a lifetime member of the First Christian Reformed Church where she was a coffee break leader for many years. Jennie enjoyed crocheting, especially making little hats, sweaters and blankets for hospitals and orphanages.
Jennie is survived by her son, Doug and wife Terrie of Fresno; daughter-in-law, Nancy Schuller of Sacramento; grandchildren, Doug Jr. and wife Kim, Ashley Schuller, Fred Jr. and Cheri Schuller; one great-grandson, Carey; brother, Arie Vanden Heuvel of Las Vegas. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Sr., her son, Fred Ernil Jr., brother, John Vanden Heuvel, sisters, Ann Hook and Adriana Visser.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10 at People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford. Graveside Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Hanford Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hanford.
