I found an unofficial census of WW I veterans from 1923 at the State Archives of Michigan for a Carl Henry SCHULTE born 29 May 1894 in Detroit, son of Henry A. SCHULTE and Ada Harvey Schulte. Carl was a student at the Detroit College of Medicine before entering the war. From the War Record part of the file, he was in the "Medical Enlisted Reserve Corp. Dec. 26, 1917" and discharged 1 Februray 1919 the reason being "demobilization". ID # 2679968
From the same source, I also found a John SCHULTE born 5 May 1895 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Henry SCHULTE (deceased) and Mary SCHULTE (deceased). John was a mattress maker both before and after the war. Entered the service at Van Couver Wash., July 2, 1918 and discharged 15 January 1919 at Camp Custer Michigan, the reason "Demobilization". He was a private in the 117th Spruce (?) Squadron. ID #3415389
There is also a Henry A. SCHULTE living at 1344 E. Canfield, Detroit. Was in the Motor Transport #343. No other information given.
None of these belong to my Henry Schulte husband of 1.) Theresa SELLMAN and 2.) Sarah maiden name unknown. Any possiblity that they belong to your Henry SCHULTE , son of August SCHULTE and Mary KESSLER?
