My wife's grandpa Herman Schultz was born 1872 in Elbing, Germany.
He and his brothers came to America before 1896--that is date of his marriage in Nebraska. Herman operated a sawmill after he relocated to State of Washington. One brother was in the hotel business, perhaps in Seattle area, another was in the meat-packing trade at Chicago.
