Schumm / Crumm

I believe that Schumm is the German form of Crumm (Crum). If this is correct does anyone have info on a Johannes Crumm (Crum) or Schumm? He came to PA, USA from Germany in 1753 apparently with his sister Anna Dorthe Eliza Margaretha Zimmerman (nee Crumm) and her two sons. I believe they settled in Rockland Twp, Berks Cty. in PA.
In Germany he might have been from the area of Bolsberg/
Marienberg area. Appreciate any help.
