Dear Tom,
I just replied in thsi forum to someone else and maybe this information is useful to you:

In the Netherlands it seems to be three brenches: one in Groningen (the Northern part), one in Gelderland (central) and one in Zoeterwoude (Western part).
(I'm from the Western brench)
Best described is the Northern brench:
See http://home.hccnet.nl/gh.schuur/schuur.html
My brother and I are looking for the Western brench and have found information upto 1814.
I hope this information is usefull to the both of you
regards
Kees Schuur
