My grandmother Augusta Clara Schwable I believe was born in Hohenstein-Ernstthal in 1879. She married Richard Oertel and had 11 children. She, her husband,and 8 children came to the US in 1923.
Clara also had a brother Wilhelm Schwalbe lived in Ornstahl n./Chemnitz according to the ship manifest. I think the town is misspelled and is Ernstthal. Clara's father was Friedrich Wilhelm Schwalbe. He was a Needlemaker. Does anyone have further information on Clara' brother or parents?
