My g-g-g grandfather was a Heinrich Wilhelm Schwegmann from Wersen, Germany (near Osnabruck). He married Marie Vor Der Hase and took her surname. They had 7 children. In the early and mid 1830s the family moved to the US and settled in Warren County Missouri. He died in 1837 and is buried in Femme Osage, a small town near the Missouri River. There are Schwegmanns listed in the Femme Osage church records and Schwegmanns in the area today. You might check in that area for leads. Other than that, I don't see a connection between our lines. Good luck in your search. Barb
