Bill-More-Hezikiah Scifres married Elizabeth Smith & had 8 children: Andrew(Andy) who was a minister, James (Jim) who had red hair,Geroge L.(My greatgrandfather), Adam,
Cordie, Alfred, Sarah and Nathan.Hezikiah is buried at Hico, Tx. Hezikiah's Father emigrated from Germany & on to Texas in the early 1800's (Hezikiah was born in 1819) and family tradition says he outlived 5 wives, fathered 21 children, some in Germany...13 whose names are unknown, and died at the age of 105 years of having a relapse of measles after plowing in a damp field.His last wife, Liz, as she was known also had bright red hair.
Charles M. Scifres also had another sister Susan Annette, who I knew as Aunt Nettie, who was married to a Rev.__Page
Charles (Charlie)'s father, George Leonard Scifres was married to Elizabeth (Betty) Shipman.GLS-1-16-1861 to
5-23-1945. ESS-12-18-1871 to 7-?-1971?.
Elizabeth (Betty) Shipman's father was John Shipman, who is said to also have been a "preacher", and her mother was Sarah Ogden....no info on the Ogden family.
