In Reply to: Lewis Schofield b. 1817-19 CT >NJ>GA>TN m. Caroline Packard? b. 1827 RI by Michael Robert Redfern of 967

just found the following too on Lewis Scofield's daughter Ella - in the in the 1880 Orange, New Haven CT census:

William Cook (i.e. Wilbur David Cook Sr.) b. abt. 1841 CT - farmer (both parents born in CT) m. Ella Scofield b. abt. 1847 NY (both parents born in CT) - 1 child Wilbur David Cook Jr. (listed as Willie) b. JUN 19 1869 Atlanta, Fulton Co. GA. almost next door is a presumed younger brother to William, James Cook b. 1852 CT with his wife Angie b. 1856 NY

the family moved to Atlanta, owned a plantation and worked at a steel mill during the civil war - returned to CT by 1880. Ella Scofield is the daughter of Lewis Scofield b. 1819 CT and Caroline Packard b. 1827 RI - they were in Atlanta too, but are in Chattanooga, Hamilton Co. TN in 1880.

please contact me at mredfern67@hotmail.com if you have any info on these Scofields or Cooks. thanks.
