Hi Chuck,
So glad you were able to identify him for me. I have an old reference bible of his. It must have been one of the first ones because on the first blank page it says "To Carlos Ball with best wishes and prayers from Alwyn Ball Jr". There is also a letter to Alwyn from him at Crestwood, Ashuelot, N.H. dated 2 Aug 1919. He refers to Helen and little Carlos in the letter. From what I have read online about him (thanks to your identification) it seems this is the Alwyn Ball with whom he was associated.
