Jesse Scofield was the first of four children of David Isaac Scofield and Hannah Lockwood, of Stamford, Conn. who moved to Marathon, Cortland Co., NY in 1784. I am descended from David C. Scofield, the second child. This from my grandfather. If you are interested in pursuing the Scofield line back, it is well documented. Suggest you try ctgenweb.org Fairfield County pages. Don't have any specifics on Jesse's descendants.
