In the town of Chili, Monroe Cty, an Alfred Scofield(1788-1839) was married to Mary Sheldon (1799-1879). They had seven children and lived next to the Elisha Sheldon family from which Mary came.Mary and Alfred are buried in the Presbyterian Cem. in Chili.
