I do not know anything about William Alexander. The line I have starts in Dobbs County, NC with William. Family moves into Beufort, Sc and William with children start to appear, children are Richard, John, William. They move into Georgia. The old man William dies and William, John and Richard start expanding their families. John and Richard remain in Ga. William goes into Al ending up in Dale County in 1830. His sons Allen and James raises families there. My line comes into Holmes County, Fl by 1850. By the way I'm white. There is a black line tieing into Allen, of Dale County. Where do you think you fit?
