Does anyone have any information on James Scrimshaw my Grandfather who I believe originated from Northamptonshire England he married Edith Blackstone or Blackston and lived in Coventry serving with the Royal Linconshire Yeomanary during the First World war.
He was wounded at the Battle of the Some in 1916 and was honourably discharged in 1917.
He died in the mid 1920's and is burried in London Road Cemetry Coventry.
I believe there was an American connection in that he had spent some time in America around 1911.
I also believe that he may have had family in the States at that time.
