Dear Elizabeth

I've just spoken to my cousin (I tried ringing her yesterday but she wasn't in!) She says that the parents of George Scrimshaw were Frederick George and Sarah Scrimshaw. I didn't know she'd got back that far!

Regarding my Grandmothers father Frederick Spendla Clifton, his parents were Robert Clifton and Elizabeth Spendla. We think Elizabeth Spendla had something to do with a Dutch family who came over to the lincolnshire fens to help build the dykes, we've got a name of Belchan but don't know if that was the name of the area of Holland they came from or a family name.

My Grandmothers mother Winifred Cragg had 2 brothers Albert (who married Sally then Fanny) and Herbert.

Hope some/all of this helps and isn't too confusing!

Thanks again
