Neurological condition in the family
Posted by: Ruth Date: June 13, 2001 at 18:02:11

I'm a Scully-Sculley in south Georgia with a very rare neurological condition that came from this side of my the family. I had one great uncle that stayed in New York when my family migrated south around 1873. Do any of you or your relatives have something called familial spastic paraparesis also known as hereditary spastic parapalegia. It has symptons similar to MS with difficulty in walking usually becoming more severe after the age of 40. If any of you know anyone that has this please let me know. There are several in my generation with it & I had never seen anyone outside my family with the condition until November of 2000. Being able to have contact with others is helpful in my acceptance. I would love to hear from anyone if you think you have what I'm talking about.
