I had another look at the GRO Indexes of Consular Births Marriages and Deaths. There are four relevant entries (all at Rio de Janeiro):
Births:
1876/80 Alice America Scully [c1878]
1881/85 Patrick Tosta Scully [c1884]
[no sign of Erin Dundas Scully or Norah Edith Scully]
Marriages:
1871/75 William Scully and either Emily Jane Allen or Annie White
1871/75 Grace Selina Scully and Charles Saunders Dundas
You said that William Scully's 2nd wife was named Tosta. What is the source for that? If that is corrrect then either William Scully was married three times, or the 1871/75 marriage was not him but perhaps a son from the 1st marriage.
Of course, the birth or marriage certificates for any of the four records could be ordered and would undoubtedly clarify much of this
