I live in South Amboy through most of the fifties at 264 Second Street, the previous renter was a Scully.
I do know at one time (late 1800's early 1900's) that John Scully was considered one of the wealthiest men in South Amboy.
Also, I came accross a post card of John Scully's house on Stevens Avenue (not street). I can not attach it to this format, if you would like me to email it to you. Please email back with a regular address that I can attach to. Also, South Amboy Library has alot of the history of past South Amboyian's -it's called the Dowdell Library, they have a web page but you can not access anything from it, however, you can call them and they will either fax or mail you copies of what they have. Good luck in your quest, and email if you would like the copy of the post card.
