Hi, Joni,
Just been browsing through Genforum to see if there were any messages left unanswered. Yes, George Scully did have a brother James who fought in the Civil War, but he survived to become a Conveyancer in Philadelphia and didn't die until 1907. Actually he had a very tough war with the 10th N.Y. (Zouaves) captured and exchanged at Second Bull Run, wounded (fnger shot off) at Chancellorsville, seconded to 40th Col. Inf. as Lieutenant but badly wounded at the Crater outside Petersburg. Spent several mnnths in hospital until returned to light duties and honourably discharged in 1865. He actually married a lady named Kramer soon after he was discharged but since he had only two daughters there are no Scully descendants in Philly. Sorry I couldn't find out any more about your Loobys.
