I think this Bernard was one of the family of Edward Scully, innkeeper, of Naas Co. Kildare. If you like to follow it up there is a wiil of Edward Scully, innkeeper of Naas, Co. Kildare, dated 2 Feb. 1798, in the National archives, Dublin. You could email them for a photostat,
Ref. no. T/5419, Doc.ID 59155. Not sure what they would charge but it might be the key to your puzzle.
