I never realised the Scutts were so widely distributed!

I don't know if I can add much to this, but my grandfather George Scutt (b 18??, d mid-1950s) originated from the Goole family. He served in the Royal Navy in WW1, and lived most of his subsequent life in Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham in South Yorkshire. He married twice, and my father was the only child from his second marriage. From his first marriage there were four or five children.

It would be fascinating to know more about my own wing of the family and go back further than the present two generations.

Best wishes
