I am new to this so here goes. My grandfather on my mothers side was Lloyd Skutt. Born in Traverse City Mi. Having moved and building a new house with any family records in storage here goes. I seem to remember mom talking about a brother or half brother of grandpa's named Roy who moved west maybe to Neb, the Dakotas or Mont. Her memory was failing when I started to find about family history. Do you have any information on where Roy was born. I do know Lloyd's father was married twice and I understand he was the oldest. Part of one of grandpas fingers was hit with a ax by one of his brothers while chopping fire wood. Is this a story that Roy maybe told about.
