Do you have the name of Willard DARROW's mother? That might help locate Willard in 1880. The census database doesn't have any Willard in Wisconsin, but he might have been transcribed as William, and there are a couple of those of the right age, sons of Saml. & Margaret and of Wm. & "Fany."

Do you know the location of the family when they were in Wisconsin?

If Willard stayed in South Dakota, there would be a death certificate. If he died by 1940, he might be listed in the WPA cemetery indexing project, but you may need to find his mother first, to locate the right cemetery.

Do you know the names of any siblings of Willard?

Did Willard marry and have children?
