My great grandmother was supposed to be born in Pierre, SD on 7/4/1890 but I can find no record of her birth. I have her social security application and she lists her parents: Estelle Carter & Jim Phillip but on her marriage application she lists her parents: Alvira & Willard Wells. I know she was adopted but I don't know at what age and I'm not sure which are her birth parents and which are her adoptive parents.
Please help...thanks!
