Ella May/Mae was born May 11, 1859 in Lytles Fork, Scott Co., Kentucky.

Married in Norton Co., KS on Sept. 8, 1876. Richard used the name: R. L. Cook.

Children were:

Theodore L.(or F.) - 14 Mar 1878 - Norton Co., Kansas
Stanton Earl (my grandad) - 10 Dec 1879 - Norton Co., KS
William - Abt. 1880 - Probably Norton Co., KS
Carrie Cecil - Aug 1886 - Norton Co., KS
Clarence Ray - June 1889 - South Dakota (the only info I have)
Gertrude - About 1890

Just looking at the birthdates above, I realize Richard and Ella must have left Kansas after 1886. One source said they had gone to the Black Hills. Another source said Richard had died in Hat Creek. Sources for date of death vary from 1889 to 1892.

I believe census records for 1900 were destroyed in a fire in Washington.

Only other information I have is Richard's father was born in Maryland and his Mother in Indiana.

I greatly appreciate your help!
