Earliest Known Seabrook???

Until recently the oldest Seabrook in my database was Thomas Seabrook b. abt 1520 - 1540. He married Olive Unknown. I was searching on the Internet recently and found a family tree that starts with Gilbert Seybrooke b. Unknown. He had a son Thomas Seybrook. Thomas was born Abt 1559 baptised 12/31/1559 Ivinghoe - St Mary's. Thomas married Joan Gaffeyld 10/18/1579. Does anyone have any other varification that our name was at one time spelled Seybrooke. Second question is that could Thomas Seabrook marriad Olive Unknown also be the son of Gilbert Seybrooke. I imagine that since the name changed from Seybrooke to Seabrook in 1 generation that these two Thomas' must be related. To me it seems like common sense.
