Hello cousin! I am an African American living in central North Carolina. My mother was a Seabrooks from South Carolina (Blairs, SC / Shelton, SC). I have been told that my grandfather's grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee from Virginia. Her name was Regina Seabrooks. She moved to the Beaufort, SC area from what I understand. His father ended up in the Spartenburg area, Cowpen I believe, where he met my greatgrandmother, Minnie Kirby. Granddaddy, Walter Isaac Seabrooks married Mamie Triplett of Spartenburg. They had 15 children. I'm also interested in finding out more about the Tripletts as well. I have several first cousins in Detroit as a result of 3 uncles who migrated there decades ago. Thats the most I know. They are very spreadout and have never said a lot about the family. I learned these things pretty late in life.
