My grandfather was Giles Burchill Seabrook, and he fought in the First World War. My uncle (Walter Seabrook, born 1939 in Beadlow, Bedfordshire) has a plaque commemorating his participation in WW1 from the people of Tring, Hertfordshire. He is buried with my grandmum in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

Quite a lot of the Seabrook family still lives in the North Hertfordshire-Mid Bedfordshire area. Mary Kathleen Seabrook married Ken Warner... she's in her 70's. My father, Gilbert Seabrook, lives in Lower Stondon with my step-mum (born 1933). Uncle Wally (Walter)lives in the next village, Shillington. My dad had six children. Stephen (died aged 21), Margaret (in her 40's, lives in Leeds, Yorkshire), Wendy (born in 1968, lives in Rushden, Northamptonshire), Shawn (that's me... born 1970, live in Hitchin, Herts.), John (b.1971, lives in the next town, Letchworth, Herts) and Mandy (b.1972, married Seamus Campbell, lives in Hitchin).

There's a lot of us still in the area...
Shawn Seabrook.
