Sharon;Wow, and I thought that sorting out the Johns in North Carolina in the 1700s was tough!I have bits and pieces of this data in my data base on the family, but you have done great work in locating the wives' names for some of these men.Could you please share your sources with me so that I can document my entries?
I have your Jonathan Segraves, who I show as born in Virginia in about 1790, maried to a Polly ______.I list his children as an E. A.; John, b. abt. 1815 in KY; and Thomas, b. abt. 1821 in KY.This Thomas married a Rachel Tabor in 1847 in KY.I show that John married a Malinda _______ and had a Daniel H., b. abt. 1856 in KY.
This will not help sort out all the land ownership listings but it may give you some help.
Please share what you've got in the way of sources and other family relationships and I will continue to try to place all of these characters in their right places in the family ancestry.
Jim Seagraves
