Nancy Coats, daughter of Benjamin Watts Coats and his first wife,Anna. Nancy b.ca1800, m.James Benjamin Seals ca 1825. She died ca 1868. Their Children:Milbery b 1831TN, Candis b.1827TN, Elizabeth b 1829, Permelia J. b1833, Mary b 1836TN, Mahala b 1838TN,Martha b 1840TN, Benjamin b 1843, Henry Briant b 1846 IL. There are nine children of Benjamin Watts Coats. His father was William Jr.b.ca 1735 m.ca 1755 SC to Frances, four children listed. I got this information from a book of the Coats family by Neva Maxine Coats Staples.William Coats, Sr b.ca 1700 England believed he immigrated ca 1719 to America. Died 21 Mar 1753 Charles town S.C. He was a minister. Father's name was Thomas and mother Sarah Cramer. William Sr. wife name unknown. Five children listed. Information provided also by John P. Staples of Kismet, Kansas.
