That's an excellent question.
James B. Seals & Nancy moved to IL before 1849, maybe as early as 1843.Married in abt 1825?In 1849 Milberry/Milbrie married George W Taylor, her father, James B Seals, being listed as a resident of White Co., IL.In the Smith Co., TN census of 1830 the oldest child of James B Seals would have been about the age of Candis. But what about the children or family of James Seal (possibly two of them) who are either younger or older than James B Seals in various census records and lived around him in TN & IL?

(based on neighbors names, I would say this was present day Emma Township)

I have not yet begun to track the other two James Seal(s).The one in TN was old enough (b 1780-1790) to be the father of James B.And the one in IL was 6 years younger enough to have been a brother or cousin.
There is hope in there somewhere, if we can just find the connections.:)
