William Seamans RI m Patience Martin?
Posted by: Will Watkins Date: June 04, 2001 at 08:13:22

According to Seamans Fam in America (SFA), William Seamans, b Scituate, RI 1741, m in 1765 Patience Martin. Rehobeth, MA VR says that, however, that William m 26 May 1762 Deborah Martin. "Martin Fam in NE" also says Deborah Martin, d/o Mannassah & Meribeth (Lake) Martin, m William Seamans. SFA then states that Wm & Patience had a number of ch. over an almost 20 year period, the first b in 1781! Obviously something is amiss with SFA (in this and MANY other instances). Was William m twice? Are these all the same William and, if not, who are
these other ones? Any wisdom on this puzzle will be appreciated.
