My GGGrandfather's name was J.S.(Jonathan)Seamans. He was in West Carroll Parish Louisiana in 1880,1890 and 1900 census. He was married to Mary E. Possibly Mary Kinney or Mary Bolding. He came to La. after being in Arkansas for a short time. Had a daughter named Elizabeth b. in Ar. A son named John J. and b. in La. Edward, Silas, Ruben, Francis Marion, daughters Annie and Dixie. I have been told that he was over-seer of a plantation in Mississippi called Elmwood in the early 1870s. Anybody know this family?
Sincerely,
Jo Ann
