To Berna Sprinkles

Berna,
I have made a trip to NC and Va. found some valuable info. would like to share with you so that you can ponder over it.
Jonathan Seamands was born in 1756 in Orange Co. Va (In his own words in a Rev. War pension Application) on the banks of the Rappahonic River. He was in Va until 1806 when he moved to Jefferson Co TN. Since my ancestor jonathan was b. in NC I did a lot of research of the history. TN at the time of Jonathan's birth was still a part of NC. There were 7 ways that one could get a land grant from NC to TN Land. One was a bounty for having served in the Rev War. There is a lot to this but the point that I want you to ponder is this. Your Micahah according to the 1860 VB CO TN census shows Micajah being b. in 1790 Va. My Jonathan b. 1792 North Carolina. I am almoct positive that they were brothers both born to Jonathan Seamands. Jonathan b.1756 Va was a son to Ephraim and he had a brother Micajah. Both Jonathan (1756) and Micajah served in the war of 1812, both in Bunch's Reg't (1814) E. Tennessee MIl. both Privates, Roll Box 190, Roll exct 602.
Have learnd a lot, contact me
Jo Ann
